November Update — Rowan Energy — Rowan Rewards
Things have been very busy over here at Rowan Energy! So just to keep you fully updated here is a quick breakdown and some links for you to find out more.
In particular, David has been creating short explainer videos which are being added to our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDdOaUlWwKI) so be sure to check them out and subscribe to keep in touch with the latest news.

First of all, we have a new property developer signed up who are going to use compatible smart meters from Passiv in their properties. For the end-user, this is great as it reduces the barrier to them getting the system in place.
We have also been talking to the biggest solar installer in the UK, who are working towards putting a Rowan smart miner in every new solar install they do. This is a great level of adoption as they do around 300 installs per month, and have an existing customer base of around 170,000 properties who could all potentially take the service.
A team member who has been working with us for some time has now joined as a permanent CFO.
David has created several short videos covering the smart miner hardware developed by emonPi which we use, the process of mining RECs, details about the tokenized assets being created through the process, and the Rowan Energy solar customer journey. To recognise the strength of our community and the level of help they have given us, new community rewards will be announced soon in the form of RECs for RWN holders who have their tokens in staking. Be sure to follow the news channels for information on these as they become available.
We have also been hard at work on the websites, cleaning up the user journey, the UX and the back end functionality before going live. We’ve also had pen-testing completed in preparation for live users to make sure the site security is as good as we need.
As part of the end solution, we will be listing the REC token on Probit. The agreement for this has been completed now, so for more details on these tokens see our youtube channel.
Moving forwards on the crypto side there are 2 major plans in the pipeline.
The first is work to the block explorer to allow additional functionality. This is something we know will be very popular with the crypto community looking to understand their assets and the distribution of holdings.
The second is to add compatibility for My Ether Wallet and Ledger wallets, giving users more options about how they securely hold their Rowan tokens.
